My Dad Up And Getting A Classic Ford Mustang

So I haven’t had any time to speak on the blog nearly as much as I had expected, because of the fact that I have been roped into helping my pops with his super nutball midlife crisis. Well, some would argue it isn’t as far out as it could possibly be. You see, what he did was to go and dress himself up like fonzie, and come on over to my house and tell me, in his “coolest” possible vocal tone: “Put some shades on, dude, we’re going to be cruising for some classic Ford Mustangs. You got it, son, it’s about time I get one of my own.”

And so my Dad and I were off to a couple of those creepy classic car sales lots that most people are pretty much certain the mob owns and operates, and I see this wild old guy wrote a check right there on the spot, for an alarmingly shiny classic Ford Mustang. It’s an intense car. It sounded great as well.

Notice that I phrased that last sentence in a past tense. It had a great sound until it seized up completely. Dad says that it’s a simple fix and he just needs to find the right part. Of course, it’s not as easy to get your hands on 1969 Mustang parts as it was some 30 years ago, but my pop swears there’s a really good-sized availability for them in spite of their age. the best place to find parts for classic Ford Mustangs is through internet auctions, since you can get them all refurbished and occasionally better than new. They’re not necessarily a steal, though… Come on, man, these are ancient automobile parts.

I suppose it could’ve been worse. It would’ve been worse if he’d gone and found a harley.
